Clearly we cannot hold face to face meetings at present due to the social distancing measures introduced as a result of the Covid 19 outbreak.  However, we are still open and able to help you resolve matters by using technology.  MIAMs and mediations can be conducted by Zoom and, if you do not have the facility for this, we can exceptionally conduct discussions over the telephone.  Please call Lesley on 07376 543412 to discuss the practicalities of mediating in these difficult times.

In addition to family mediation, we can also offer mediation to those who are in dispute with people outside of their family such as a situation where one person owes another money for goods or services which are disputed.

As with family, we would see each party for a preliminary meeting, establish the nature and value of the claim and discuss how we would then proceed with the mediation.

Once we have seen both parties, we would set aside a day (or a half day in a simple case) to try to help them reach an agreement, which can then be recorded in a binding agreement.  During those meetings, the parties usually sit in separate rooms and are represented by their lawyers but this is not essential and we would discuss this at the assessment meeting.
